I’m Paul Hedrick. A few years ago, I quit my job on Wall Street because I had a passion for boots. I felt like a brand was really missing from the category—one that didn’t overcharge for quality; a brand that truly cared about comfort, customer experience, and value.
After a year of research, development and cold calling every bootmaker and factory I could find in Texas and all over North America, I realized two important truths in the industry: the best brands were all made in the same places and same ways, and the traditional retail model was what was keeping prices out of reach.
On the other end of the spectrum, many brands were cutting corners by using cheaper or artificial materials, low-cost labor, and poor construction techniques (not to mention generally poor customer service and experience).
Then it hit me: What if I created this missing brand? High quality, comfortable boots—timeless in their style—and most importantly: sold for a fraction of the cost of the best brands out there.
