May 09, 2020 · QHD or 1440p doesn’t divide exactly into 4K or 1080p, meaning that playing back this type of video content actually looks blurrier on a QHD display than it does on an FHD panel.
QHD screens are noticeably sharper than Full HD (FHD) resolution (1920 x 1080) models, which are much more common and also cheaper than QHD monitors. However, on laptops, a QHD screen will eat up more battery than a FHD display. This article is part of the Tom's Hardware Glossary.
QHD is not to be mistaken for the acronym qHD, which refers to quarter high definition – a resolution standard for many smaller mobile devices. This resolution standard gets its name because at 960 pixels in width and 540 pixels in height (for a 16x9 aspect ratio), qHD is exactly one-quarter the resolution of standard high definition or 1080p.
4K ( 4096 x 2160) Ultra High Definition (UHD). Standard resolution of 4K or UHD is 4096 x 2160 pixels , but now for the resolution of QFHD ( 3840 x 2160 pixels ) is also being called as 4K because of the confusion from lots of manufactures who are promoting their products with QFHD ( 3840 x 2160 pixels ) resolution as 4K products.

These two acronyms represent the same resolution; WQHD is a marketing technique to emphasize the wide-screen format of the resolution. QHD screens are noticeably sharper than Full HD (FHD) resolution (1920 x 1080) models, which are much more common and also cheaper than QHD monitors.
Jan 21, 2020 · 1440p is also called QHD (quad high definition) or WQHD (wide quad high definition) and is a display resolution that measures 2560 x 1440 pixels.
The graphics display resolution is the width and height dimension of an electronic visual display device, such as a computer monitor, in pixels. Certain combinations of width and height are standardized and typically given a name and an initialism that is descriptive of its dimensions. A higher display resolution in a display of the same size means that displayed photo or video content appears sharper, and pixel art appears smaller.
