I am a believer that you don’t choose the kitchen, she chooses you.
I remember when I was a “weekend home baker” and while I was studying for nursing/paramedic I was all week researching the “perfect” recipe and anxiously waiting my free days to make breads and desserts at home. At some point (while working in the hot line in a restaurant “just for the money”) and thanks to my wife, I became aware that although at the moment I really liked being in the health industry, my heart was truly in a kitchen, specifically in pastry.
I love everything about a kitchen, it is rough and brutal, we fight and yell but really love each other, is stressful and very demanding, most of the time we are more time with our second family (co-workers) than with our own families, but oh man, the outcome is surreal. When you see the face of the people when the plate arrives and their expression when they get that first bite. At that moment we take a deep breath and know everything was worth it.
Something I would change in the industry is how (and i am generalizing here) we see each other but outside of our work places. Everyone is just looking at who’s the best and criticizing everyones work. Instead of each one trying to put down the other chefs/cooks, we should work together and lift each other, teach without prejudice and accept that not everyone thinks and works as we do.

Social media is comprised of entrepreneurs showing their highlight reel. They don’t share the struggles. They don’t share the times when they were on the brink of giving up. They don’t share the tears or the frustrations.
That’s where I come in... At one point in my entrepreneurship journey I had $0.16 in my bank account. I cried. I obviously considered giving up. I questioned the calling.
Despite all of that I pushed on.. I’m thankful that Lord gave me the grit and tenacity to keep going. Some days you just simply put one foot in front of the other. I spoke it into existence and quite honestly there were days I said it out loud in the hopes that my heart would believe it.
I didn’t push on for the money (although that’s fun too 😂). I pushed on because I firmly believe I’m living out my calling and I owe it to myself to see what the Lord can/will do with me when I push past the temporary pain for the greater cause.
So friend, if you’re living out your calling today and wondering when it will get better then believe me when I say it DOES. The stability will come. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. You’re tough and you can do this. I know that because all entrepreneurs are tough. We have to be! Have hope. Keep pressing on because God is good.
“Yo can you guys stop laughing for once so we can take this picture?” ~ christian_sirvas , probably. One last night with my brothers, and it was one for the books. Y’all got the next round now with all that money you’ll be making 🍻🤣 #HappyCongratuBirthday #mifamilia

In this photo I was exploring Russia, it was a great experience with my girlfriend
When you are travelling is very important to manage your budget!
Today I will give you some tips in order to not waste your money when you are visiting a new country! ⠀
I know we are in 2019 and many people are already using them, but I’m sure that not everyone knows what you will read below⬇️ ⠀
1. WHERE TO SLEEP?! ⠀
In my opinion one of the best option (I’m using it) for find a place where you can stay is booking
My advice is to book 1/2 months before your trip in order to save money ⠀
Rent an apartment or stay in a room with your private bathroom
Don’t save like 25/50€ in total for stay in a place very faraway from the center (you will spend that money in taxi/transport) or in a hostel, in particular if you are a couple or two friends
You will enjoy your holiday better😉 ⠀
Use google! We have this great tool, use it!
Search feedbacks of other tourists
If you have an apartment you can cook your breakfast/lunch and in the evening you have more budget for a good dinner in the restaurant of your dreams🤩
Don’t buy in the first shop that you see, search in different shops, many of them are very expensive
My advice is to book your flight/bus some months before or to find some last minute
When you are already in the city use the public transport or as I said before stay near the city center
My advice is to book them via apps on your phone, there you can check prices
If it is late night use the taxi, be safe!
5. CASH or CARD?💸
When you are paying by card be sure that you won’t be charged with high commissions ⠀
The same is if you want to take money from the bancomat
In my opinion is better to have some cash with you and if you need to change the currency don’t change money in airports or near train stations!
Read on internet the exchange rate and compare it.⠀ ⠀

Actual conversation with a guy in LA:
"What do you do?" "I run my own business as a sexual health educator." "No shit?" "Yes shit." "You make money doing that?" "A lot of money." This is a very routine question, and he was truly intrigued and shocked as many are. I love LA because it's full of dreamers, and people that are 'almost famous' as was this musician. They work hard to make enough to pursue their dreams, which I totally respect that hustle and dedication out here. Not only does it pay me, but he didn't ask about the lifestyle beyond the money. We're sitting by the pool in the morning, vacationing mid week, mostly debt free, saving money every month, and able to budget for fun and travel money to do the things I want while not waiting as life passes to do them. Connecting with strangers about this business of mine will forever be one of my favorite things- second to the traveling of course 💕
